We are fast approaching the virtual portion of our competition this year set to take place on July 22, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. (Noon) EST until 5:00 p.m. EST.

I am still in need of 4-7 volunteers for judging by Zoom this year.  We need 24 judges for Preliminary Rounds One and Two as we have 16 teams that will be arguing during each round.  4 more volunteers are absolutely needed for that portion.  We then have a bye round – Preliminary Round Three where two teams only will be arguing as we have an odd number of teams (17) this year so one team will sit out each of the first two rounds and compete against one another in the bye round.  It would be ideal to have a three member panel that did not judge either of the first two preliminary rounds if possible to avoid any judge seeing the teams a second time which is why I would love to recruit 7 more volunteers.

Schedule for July 22, 2022:

Judicial Zoom Luncheon/Presentation of Problem and Q&A with Scoresheet Review:  12:00 p.m. EST until 1:00 p.m. EST

Preliminary Round One:  1:30 p.m. EST until 2:30 p.m. EST

Preliminary Round Two:  2:45 p.m. EST until 3:45 p.m. EST

Preliminary Round Three:  4:00 p.m. EST until 5:00 p.m. EST

Please note that we will be having the judicial luncheon at the convention in Orlando at the World Center Marriott on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at 11:30 a.m.  ALL JUDGES ARE INVITED TO ATTEND THE LUNCHEON REGARDLESS OF THEIR PARTICIPATING IN THIS YEAR’S COMPETITION.  We want to show our appreciation to all who help the competition year after year and not just this year.  We will be holding the quarter and semi final rounds on Sunday, August 21, 2022 in person, after the luncheon.

We will need 12 judges for the quarter final round and 6 judges for the semi-final round.  We would love to have 18 total judges for this portion of the competition so that no one will see any team a second time in Orlando as well.

Schedule for August 21, 2022 in Orlando:

Judicial Luncheon/Presentation of Problem:  11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Quarter Final Round:  1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. (12 judges)

Semi Final Round:  3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. (6 judges)

Thanks so much.
