Judiciary College

Register today for the NAWCJ Judiciary College.

The date of the National Workers’ Compensation Judiciary College has been set for August 11, 12, 13 & 14, 2019. The College will be held at The Orlando World Center Marriott, 8701 World Center Drive, Orlando, FL 32821, in conjunction with the 74th Annual Workers’ Compensation Educational Conference.

The program for the Judiciary College is designed to address issues uniquely related to the adjudication of workers’ compensation matters allowing participants to interact with others from different jurisdictions on issues of common concern. Although NAWCJ allows associate membership, the College is exclusively for workers’ compensation adjudicators and administrators (both at the trial and appellate levels), allowing for a free and open interchange of ideas to improve the adjudicatory process in workers’ compensation systems throughout the country, without undue influences from third parties. The Judiciary College program will also take advantage of select courses presented by the concurrent Workers’ Compensation Educational Conference held at the same location and time. Not all of the College activities are work. This year, on Monday night, the Conference presents Jake Owen, multiple chart-topping singer/songwriter. Mr. Owen’s new single “Down to the Honky-Tonk” is rapidly climbing the Billboard country airplay charts. With seven number one songs to his name, “Down to the Honky-Tonk” follows Mr. Owen’s fastest rising career number one single “I was Jack (You Were Diane).” Mr. Owen’s songs have resonated with listeners and audiences everywhere with 2X Platinum anthem “Barefoot Blue Jean Night,” Platinum-certified hits “Beachin,” “Anywhere With You,” “Alone With You,” “The One That Got Away,” and Gold-certified “American Country Love Song.” Mr. Owen’s fifth studio album, American Love, debuted at number one on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and number four on the Billboard 200 all-genre chart. Signed to Big Loud Records, Mr. Owen is reuniting with award-winning Joey Moi, who helped produce his breakout “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” album, which landed at number one on the Billboard Country chart and garnered four consecutive number one hits. Mr. Owen is gearing up to join Shania Twain as a celebrity panelist on USA Network’s Real Country singing competition premiering on November 13.
