NAWCJ’s Nominating Committee  –  chaired by Immediate Past President Judge Bruce Moore of Kansas, with Board members Judge Jennifer Hopens of Texas and Judge Jim Szablewicz of Virginia  –  recommended an excellent slate of Officers and Directors for the coming year.  As the current President-Elect, Judge Shannon Bruno-Bishop of Louisiana will become President of  the NAWCJ in August.  The Nominating Committee nominated Judge Pam Johnson of Tennessee as President-Elect, Judge Mike Alvey of Kentucky as Treasurer, and Judge Sheral Kellar of Louisiana as Secretary for 2021-2022.  Nominated as prospective Directors are Judge Sharon Reeves of Georgia, Judge Steve Minicucci of Rhode Island, Judge Dana Plunkett of Virginia, Judge Ken Switzer of Tennessee, Judge LuAnn Haley of Arizona, Judge Josh Baker of Tennessee, Judge Sylvia Medina-Shore of Florida, Judge Wes Marshall of Virginia, and Judge Doug Gott of Kentucky.  Judges Haley and Baker are slated for one-year terms; the other terms are for two years. NAWCJ members will also have the opportunity to nominate other candidates for these positions.

NAWCJ members will vote electronically for Officers and Directors upon receiving a ballot from Survey Monkey later this summer.  Elections will be conducted electronically in August 2021, as they were in August 2020, due to postponement of the August 2021 Judiciary College until December 2021.
