November 2021 President’s Letter

Greetings from the President

By Shannon Bruno Bishop

We are less than two months away from the Judicial College.  If you have not already registered, please do so.  You will not regret attending and participating in this wonderful conference. In this month’s issue of the Lex, you can find the agenda, which shows the wonderful seminars and events that are scheduled to take place at this year’s conference.  Also, in this issue of the Lex, you can find a scholarship application to apply for a full or partial scholarship to assist with funding to attend the College.

One of the events scheduled at this year conference is our annual social, co-sponsored by the Southern Association of Workers’ Compensation Administrators.  During the social, you will have the opportunity to meet the esteemed inductees to the inaugural class of the NAWCJ Adjudicator Hall of Fame.  Congratulations to our inaugural class who were chosen because they have provided exemplary efforts and leadership on behalf of our organization. The retired/posthumous inductees include:

Hon. LuAnn Haley
Hon. John Lazzara
Hon. Ellen Lorenzen
Hon. Dwight T. Lovan
Hon. Roger Williams (deceased)

The inductees who are still active adjudicators consist of:

Hon. Melodie Belcher
Hon. Deneise Lott
Hon. Bruce E. Moore
Hon. David Torrey

Congratulations, again, to our inductees and thank you to our members for nominating such a well deserving class.

Enjoy this issue of the Lex and I hope to see you all in December
